The Formative Assessment (FA) comprises of paper-pencil tests as well as assignments, projects, practical work etc. Only the grades maybe reflected in the column under FA and SA. Separate registers may be maintained by teachers to record the marks obtained by students in different tasks. These marks may be converted into grades according to given grading system and entered in the columns.

Students are to be awarded grades according to the following scheme:

Promotion is based on the day-to-day work of the students throughout the year and also on the performance in the terminal examination.

  • First term: FA1 (10%) + FA2 (10%) + SA1 (20%) Formative assessment (FA) 1+2+3+4 =40%
  • Second term: FA3(10%) + FA4(10%) + SA2 (40%) Summative assessment (SA) 1+2 =60%

    My son is dislexic. We have applied for change of subject Maths & Hindi to IT & Painting . But the same was no changed.

    Now he is appearing in the exms Feb 10 with Maths & Hindi.

    What are the minimum grade required for him to raech in 10 th class

    how wil be the marks given. on what basis eill the student get. if the student want to change the school in 10. what are the marks requirement for that? will the pther school take the admission if his dad has got a transfer and the son has got less marks? pls tell me

    this grading system is very good b’cz it helps the average students to remove the stress of competition.

    but sometimes it helps also especially to students getting below 60%. but i like the old system only because there i could get 92% or above

    Our school has adopted the grade system from primary. What are the indicators and tools to evaluate the primary children in Hindi subject? Because we r Tamilnadu.

    this grading system is very poor and this will increase stress on minds of students.I was not expecting this type of result by cbse.I think cce should be abolished and cbse committee should resign as they have the future of students in dark.

    this sysytem is poor..bcs in this system.,students hav lost their right aim in life and this system has diverted their attention frm studies …and hav given much authority to the teachers…even here,to get A1 in FAs ,we hav to get minimum 9.1 and thats impossible to get in classes like X …so kapil sibal should watch to it..

    this system is simply useless.it has increased the burden and tension on students.nowadays all the tym v r busy in the projects etc only so wen 2 do the xtra studies……i liked the ols system only……….

    This cce grading system is good…our school has adopted this system…the stress is gone!!!
